Clearance & Customs Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Customs & Clearance Manager to lead and manage all customs clearance tasks related to both imports and exports. This position focuses on handling customs clearance procedures, management of duty exemptions, customs duty refunds, and coordinating government and industrial subsidy programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the clearance process for imported items such as spare parts, equipment, raw materials, ensuring proper invoice verification and HS code classification.
• Act as a liaison with customs brokers, Saudi Customs, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), and other governmental bodies to guarantee timely and compliant shipment clearance.
• Track inbound shipments diligently and expedite customs clearance to facilitate prompt delivery to warehouses.
• Review and confirm the accuracy of customs clearance documents and invoices prior to forwarding them to the Finance Department.
• Manage applications for customs duty exemptions by assembling necessary documentation, submitting requests, and monitoring progress until approvals are received.
• Administer government and industrial subsidy programs by preparing documentation and coordinating with banks, regulatory agencies, and legal advisors.
• Ensure strict adherence to customs laws, trade regulations, and internal policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs teams to maintain efficient and compliant operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related discipline.
• Between 4 and 6 years of direct experience in customs clearance and handling import/export operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in working closely with Saudi Customs, SFDA, customs brokers, and government agencies.
• Experience in preparing and managing submissions for customs exemptions, duty refunds, and subsidy applications.
