Cleaning Operative – PAML

Overview

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the hangar facility and associated areas at the airport. The Cleaning Operative will ensure that all designated zones, including canteens, restrooms, and office spaces, are kept in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily cleaning tasks within the hangar building ensuring a high standard of hygiene.
• Carry out general cleaning duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors in common areas.
• Manage waste disposal by emptying bins and cleaning restrooms and communal surfaces thoroughly.
• Perform heavy and deep cleaning assignments as directed by supervisory staff.
• Prepare and correctly handle cleaning chemicals, ensuring safe mixing and disposal in line with protocols.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by managers or supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience or ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and machinery safely.
• Physical capability to perform repetitive bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting throughout shifts.
• Familiarity with various cleaning agents, including their correct storage and disposal practices.
• Strong communication skills and a cooperative team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently by recognizing and executing necessary tasks without supervision.
• Prior experience in similar cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work various shifts that include weekends.
• Must obtain a clean Disclosure Scotland for eligibility to work at UK airports.
• Applicants must have unrestricted permission to work in the United Kingdom.
