Cleaning Operative

Job Overview

The Cleaning Operative is responsible for keeping assigned premises clean and well-maintained to ensure customer and client satisfaction. Duties may vary depending on specific client requirements and organizational needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean all allocated areas thoroughly and regularly.
• Correctly use and safely store all cleaning equipment.
• Inspect equipment frequently and report any faults or deficiencies.
• Ensure equipment is safe and functional before use.
• Support linen handling processes.
• Perform additional deep or spring cleaning tasks as required.
• Operate on-site washing machines for internal laundry when necessary.
• Adhere strictly to Health and Safety guidelines and Fire Safety policies.
• Report identified safety hazards promptly to management.
• Maintain hygiene standards consistently.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints in line with company policies.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and appropriate attire including footwear and headgear at all times.
• Engage in company training programs aimed at performance improvement.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior experience in a cleaning or similar capacity is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Possess a polite and courteous demeanor.
• Be flexible concerning working hours and job tasks.

Working Hours

• Role primarily involves night shift work.
