Job Overview

You will be accountable for thoroughly cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining designated areas by following established procedures and company and client quality and safety standards. Interaction with clients may be a frequent part of your role.

Primary Duties

• Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste containers; transport waste paper and rubbish to assigned disposal spots.
• Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep or dust-mop hard flooring; perform damp mopping or spot cleaning of spills in offices, public lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and other areas.
• Manually dust and wipe all office furniture, cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning vents, wall grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
• Remove fingerprints and smudges from vertical surfaces such as doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
• Maintain the janitorial closet in a clean, organized, and orderly fashion.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned or identified as necessary.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving aptitude.
• Effective time management skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in custodial cleaning or an equivalent field is preferred.
