Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a committed and experienced Class 4 driver to join the Allied Concrete team based at the Invercargill Plant. This full-time position involves delivering ready-mix concrete across the Southland region, contributing to a team-focused and safety-driven work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles safely and reliably, adhering fully to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Complete loading, unloading, and delivery of concrete promptly and efficiently from plant to customer sites.
- Maintain a clean, well-functioning truck to positively represent Allied Concrete and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, clean Class 4 or Class 5 driver’s license.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, punctuality, and reliability.
- Possess knowledge and experience with Road Ranger gearbox operation.
- Physically fit and maintain a professional appearance.
- Commit to complying with company Health & Safety standards and strict drug and alcohol testing policies, including random, pre-employment, and post-incident tests.
Additional Information
- Work hours total 40 hours weekly, scheduled between 5 am and 6 pm, Monday to Saturday; early starts may be necessary.
- The hourly wage ranges from $31 to $33.
- Full uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
- The role requires adherence to a strict drug and alcohol policy, with pre-employment testing mandatory.
