About the Role

NFP, a company within the Aon Group, is seeking a Claims Handler to join their expanding commercial insurance team in Dublin. This role focuses on supporting clients through the end-to-end claims journey, including administration, progression, and advocacy on commercial insurance claims.

The Claims Handler will provide expert advice on policy coverage, manage claims notifications, negotiate settlements, and liaise with insurers and appointed representatives. They will also support the Servicing and Sales Account Executives with technical claims advice and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties.
  • Manage client claims with guidance on cover and indemnity.
  • Handle First Notification of Loss efficiently to minimize losses and leakage.
  • Monitor the progress of outstanding claims and update clients and Account Executives accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with Insurers, Loss Adjusters, and third parties as necessary.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to Broker Account Executive teams to aid client relationships and processing of policy inception and renewals.
  • Undertake delegated authority claims handling where agreements exist.
  • Support leadership with process improvements, best practices implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with the role as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 2 years’ experience managing commercial general insurance claims.
  • Holds a professional insurance qualification—minimum APA (Associate of the Insurance Institute of Ireland) level.
  • Experienced in processing Property, Casualty, and Motor insurance claims.
  • Background working in commercial insurance environments.
  • Familiarity with Consumer Protection Code regulatory standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent ability to organize and prioritize workload efficiently.
