Role Overview

This position focuses on detailed evaluation and verification of insurance claims related to Human-Wildlife Conflict (HWC). Key duties include analyzing claims data, authenticating supporting documentation, detecting patterns and irregularities, generating comprehensive reports, and aiding in making equitable, prompt, and evidence-based claims decisions.

Key Duties

• Assess and authenticate HWC insurance claims with close scrutiny.
• Examine data from claims to determine trends and compile analytical reports.
• Keep precise records of claims and facilitate timely disbursement processes.
• Collaborate effectively with field teams, local communities, and partners involved.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, Commerce, or any closely related discipline.
• Minimum of three years professional experience in claims analysis, insurance operations, or risk management.
• Strong analytical capability including proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience working on community or conservation projects will be viewed favorably.

Position Information

This is a full-time assignment located in Nairobi County, Kenya, with occasional travel requirements. The contract term is one year, subject to renewal.
