About the Role

Join AIG as a Complex Claims Adjuster specializing in Accident & Health to contribute to our transformative approach in risk management. This role offers a valuable opportunity to develop your expertise and play an integral role within our claims team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and process general liability (GL) claims payments accurately.
  • Handle administrative duties including the coordination and distribution of incoming and outgoing claim documentation.
  • Assist with data entry, updates in claims systems, claim computation, payment processing, and recovery claims including digestion tasks.
  • Manage and follow up on files kept in the "Keep In View" (KIV) status.
  • Generate reports and provide claims statistics for various stakeholders.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain proficient use of system tools and ensure e-filing of documentation is done properly in electronic folders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to claim file handling through feedback and collaborative support.
  • Collaborate with team members to adhere to best practice protocols aligned with global claims handling standards.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure precise data entry and timely processing of claims and related administrative tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication within the team to facilitate smooth workflow.
  • Comply with internal claims standard operating procedures and global best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess at least a diploma in any discipline coupled with basic insurance certifications such as BCP and Commercial General Insurance.
  • Preferably have experience in administrative roles.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate effective time management abilities, including prioritizing workloads and managing diaries.
  • Work productively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with legal, regulatory, litigation, and procedural aspects related to the insurance line of business is an advantage.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and performing under pressure.
