About the Role
AIG is seeking a Casualty Underwriter exclusively for UAE Nationals to join their underwriting team in Dubai. The role offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to the company’s transformation in risk management solutions and develop your underwriting expertise within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the underwriting team in the efficient and profitable handling of all Liability insurance products.
- Conduct underwriting for new business and renewal cases sourced through Brokers, Direct Clients, and Business Development Managers.
- Maintain adherence to company underwriting principles and corporate guidelines to align with AIG’s strategic and profit objectives.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with producers particularly in GCC markets, with an emphasis on Saudi Arabia.
- Make prudent underwriting decisions, including flexible risk pricing to meet profit targets, while monitoring renewal loss ratios and identifying underperforming accounts.
- Develop and sustain broker and client relationships; generate new business from existing relationships and pursue account expansion opportunities.
- Comply with underwriting authority limits and internal guidelines as referenced in the AIG Casualty Intranet site.
- Ensure smooth processing of all underwriting-related tasks and workflows.
