Job description
About the Role
We seek a proactive, detail-oriented Civil Engineer to manage civil construction activities and integrate MEP services for commercial infrastructure projects in Anand Vihar, Delhi NCR. The candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in interpreting structural drawings, AutoCAD usage, site execution, and quality control to ensure projects complete on time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and monitor daily civil construction operations on-site.
- Interpret and execute work according to architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Collaborate with architects, structural and MEP consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Create and adjust AutoCAD plans, shop drawings, and as-built documentation when necessary.
- Guarantee proper implementation of civil, finishing, and MEP tasks based on approved plans and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards, safety, and adhere to project timelines.
- Verify measurement accuracy, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimate material needs, and oversee material usage.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting teams to prevent conflicts during execution.
- Supervise contractor performance to ensure timely activity completion.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Identify site-related challenges and propose effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance with applicable building codes, legal regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in diverse projects such as group housing, metros, railways, commercial, residential, hospitality, retail, or infrastructure.
- Preferred experience in MEP coordination and structural execution.
- Strong foundation in civil construction techniques.
- Proficient in reading and understanding structural drawings.
- Familiarity with MEP drawings covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire fighting systems.
- Competence in AutoCAD for drawing preparation and modification.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation methodologies.
- Understanding of quality control and construction standards.
- Experience with project planning and site coordination.
- Effective communication and team leadership capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
