Civil Site Engineer

Overview

We seek a qualified Civil Site Engineer with over one year of experience to oversee daily construction operations at our project locations Padappai and Thirumudivakkam. The role demands ensuring the work aligns strictly with approved plans, quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all civil construction activities on site daily.
• Execute tasks in line with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and stakeholders onsite.
• Track construction progress to guarantee timely completion of projects.
• Verify dimensions, levels, alignments, and the quality of construction work.
• Interpret and apply structural, architectural, and civil drawings correctly.
• Maintain detailed daily progress reports and site documentation.
• Manage the deployment of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
• Optimize material usage to minimize waste.
• Conduct regular quality inspections ensuring compliance with project standards.
• Coordinate material procurement and initiate requests as necessary.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to site operations.
• Support quantity estimation, measurements, and billing processes.
• Ensure site safety compliance and uphold construction standards.
• Arrange inspections with consultants and clients when required.
• Communicate project delays, quality concerns, and other issues to Project Manager promptly.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment onsite.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong familiarity with civil construction techniques and best practices.
• Competency in reading civil, structural, and architectural blueprints.
• Knowledge of reinforced cement concrete (RCC), masonry, plastering, flooring, and finishing work.
• Understanding of construction materials quality standards.
• Basic proficiency in quantity estimation and site measurements.
• Effective site supervision and coordination capabilities.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and workforce onsite.
• Preferred working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Applicants should possess a Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering. Prior experience between 1 to 5 years in civil site engineering, preferably involved in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects, is advantageous.

Compensation

Monthly salary ranges from ₹20,000 to ₹25,000, commensurate with experience and skill set.
