Civil Estimation Engineer

Position Overview

Our client, a prominent construction and contracting firm based in Dubai, is looking to hire a Civil Estimation Engineer (Quantity Surveyor) to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to prepare precise cost evaluations for civil construction tasks.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and compile comprehensive cost estimates involving labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
• Solicit and review quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to support accurate budgeting.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to guarantee estimates meet project goals and restrictions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and conduct site inspections to assess project scope and conditions firsthand.
• Maintain organized filing systems for drawings and project documentation following company standards.
• Assist in producing tender documents, bid submissions, and project proposals.
• Monitor cost fluctuations and provide insights for project budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Proven experience in estimating within civil construction or similar roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering construction techniques, materials, and relevant codes and standards.
• Proficiency with estimating and design software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or similar applications.
• Strong skills in numerical analysis, critical thinking, and organization.
