Role Overview

The Chief Strategy and Sector Analysis Officer steers Bridge Energy's overarching strategy and sector intelligence agendas encompassing Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, and Trading operations. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this position transforms shareholder priorities, market insights, and portfolio data into clear strategies, actionable initiatives, and quantifiable enterprise value. It provides decision-making support to the Board and executive team while ensuring strategic coherence across all business functions, sectors, and locations.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and express Bridge Energy’s comprehensive enterprise strategy and long-term goals across the energy value chain in line with the broader investment mandate and shareholder objectives.
• Lead strategic planning for horizons ranging from three to ten years, outlining initiatives with designated accountability, funding needs, and target outcomes.
• Advise senior executives and the Board on strategic options, organizational positioning, and key enterprise decisions.
• Establish and maintain a strong institutional sector analysis capacity covering market structures, competitive environments, regulations, technology developments, capital flow patterns, geopolitical factors, and demand trends relevant to Bridge Energy.
• Translate market intelligence into actionable investment themes, geographic focus areas, growth avenues, risk indicators, and portfolio considerations.
• Create enterprise scenarios and conduct stress tests addressing factors like commodity volatility, energy transition pathways, policy changes, geopolitics, and technological market disruptions.
• Evaluate strategic resilience, portfolio vulnerabilities, and organizational preparedness under varying future conditions, integrating scenario thinking into capital planning and risk management.
• Lead portfolio analyses focusing on strategic alignment, concentration, adjacencies, ownership structures, and capital requirements.
• Collaborate with Investment and Finance teams to design capital allocation frameworks prioritizing opportunities by strategic relevance and feasibility.
• Provide guidance on acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships, platform growth, and capital recycling strategies.
• Convert approved strategies into executable enterprise initiatives with clear governance structures, milestones, decision authorities, performance metrics, and escalation processes.
• Monitor strategy execution through dashboards and scorecards, ensuring benefits realization and risk identification.
• Coordinate cross-functional teamwork across Finance, Legal, HR, and business units to foster strategic synergy across sectors and geographies.
• Lead strategic efforts in M&A target identification, market assessments, due diligence prioritization, valuation contexts, and post-deal value capture.
• Advise on partnership models, market entry strategies, joint ventures, and strategic investments involving government and corporate partners.
• Support integration and portfolio transformation plans post-transactions to ensure alignment with intended strategies.
• Communicate Bridge Energy’s strategy effectively to the Board, the Energy Executive Committee, employees, investors, and partners ensuring alignment with the greater Bridge Holding group.
• Forge relationships with governmental agencies, industry associations, think tanks, research entities, and expert networks to maintain high-quality intelligence access.
• Provide strategic input for investor materials, communications, and executive presentations as needed.
• Build and nurture a high-caliber Strategy and Sector Analysis team characterized by intellectual rigor, commercial insight, collaboration, and operational discipline.
• Develop and institutionalize repeatable strategy methodologies, analytical frameworks, knowledge-sharing systems, and governance processes to enhance decision-making quality.
• Cultivate strategic thinking, innovation, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making culture throughout Bridge Energy.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 15 years of progressively senior roles in enterprise strategy, ideally within an established Oil & Gas company, corporate development, principal investing, investment banking, consultancy, or senior business management with significant executive responsibility.
• Substantial expertise across energy sectors including infrastructure, utilities, renewables, natural resources, and financial institutions with a capacity to analyze macroeconomic and cross-sector impacts.
• Proven track record executing strategies delivering measurable commercial, portfolio, or operational success at the enterprise level.
• Credibility at Board and C-suite levels, skilled at advising shareholders, investment committees, and senior leadership on complex strategic decisions under challenging market conditions.
• Strong grasp of M&A processes, valuations, financial modeling, portfolio management, capital deployment, and partnership structures.
• Experience managing operations in diverse international and cultural environments and engaging with sophisticated public and private stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related fields is essential; advanced degrees such as MBA or relevant master’s are strongly preferred.
