Chief Integration Architect

Overview

As the Chief Integration Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the comprehensive solution architecture of the program, encompassing the central integration layer, connectors to SAP and other ERP systems, accredited service provider links, reconciliation platform interfaces, and ensuring security and deployment compliance. You will act as the technical authority, presenting designs to the client's architecture review board.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce the solution architecture and design documents, including integration and API design specs, securing approvals from architecture and security review boards.
• Architect the central integration layer including data ingestion, orchestration, validation (PINT-AE/UBL), status monitoring, ERP integration, and managed file transfers, deploying these as cloud-native Kubernetes services in private cloud or Azure environments.
• Establish integration methodologies and standards across various protocols and technologies such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, BAPI, event-driven messaging, queues, webhooks, polling, and SFTP/MFT, secured via mutual TLS and OAuth 2.0/OIDC through API gateways like Azure API Management or webMethods.
• Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with accounts receivable/payable, tax, and IT stakeholders spanning multiple entities, while managing interface catalogs and canonical data schemas.
• Ensure solutions align with client’s reference architecture and reject anti-patterns such as point-to-point connections, hard-coded credentials, or direct database accesses. Also guarantee adherence to non-functional specs including throughput, latency, resilience, observability, and scalable performance.
• Define strategies for development and production environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Pre-prod, Prod), platform service criteria, and infrastructure automation; serve as technical lead for business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for SAP, non-SAP, accredited service provider connectivity, and reconciliation platform teams, conducting design and code reviews to maintain architectural consistency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 12 years of experience in enterprise integration and solution architecture, including more than 5 years as a lead architect for integration platforms primarily in SAP-focused environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in API-led and event-driven integration, API management tools such as Azure API Management or webMethods, messaging systems, managed file transfers, and cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, containerization, continuous integration/deployment, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Solid knowledge of SAP S/4HANA integrations including OData, IDoc, BAPI/RFC, SAP Integration Suite/BTP or PI/PO, as well as non-SAP ERP integrations with Oracle Fusion REST/SOAP.
• Familiarity with eInvoicing standards based on UBL/EN 16931, Peppol four and five-corner models; strong preference for knowledge of UAE PINT-AE and FTA eInvoicing frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise identity and access management solutions such as Microsoft Entra ID, SAML 2.0/OIDC, SCIM, along with security event monitoring, secrets management, and implementation of zero-trust security models for integrations.
• Proficient in preparing and presenting architecture documentation and defensible solutions at steering committee or board levels; excellent command of English for technical documentation.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Certifications such as TOGAF or equivalent and Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert credential.
• Exposure to tax clearance or B2B network integrations including Peppol, ZATCA, and EDI.
• Experience involving accounts payable automation and reconciliation system platforms.
