Role Overview

This position presents a unique and significant chance to spearhead the digital transformation efforts at one of Ireland's foremost and most innovative teaching hospitals. The successful candidate will collaborate with an exceptional team and leadership group, playing a crucial role during a key phase in the hospital's digital development.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the Information Management Services as the senior executive responsible for digital platforms, data management, cybersecurity, information governance, and technology services within the hospital.
• Deliver strategic digital leadership as an Executive Management Group member by aligning hospital objectives with a practical and prioritized digital strategy.
• Ensure the stabilization, institutionalization, and advancement of the hospital's extensive digital transformation initiatives, including optimizing Electronic Patient Records (EPR), renewing Patient Administration Systems (PAS), implementing Microsoft 365, rolling out a patient portal, and modernizing end-user devices.
• Establish secure, robust, and dependable digital services that enhance patient safety, maintain clinical operations, and improve overall efficiency.
• Design the future operating framework of IMS, guaranteeing it possesses the appropriate size, expertise, governance, structure, and culture to address current challenges and future goals.
• Advance the hospital’s capabilities in data analytics, system integration, artificial intelligence, and research facilitation consistent with national and European digital health strategies.
