Role Overview
This role oversees the daily accounting functions, including operations, reporting, and compliance. It supports the Financial Controller in ensuring hotel financial strategies align with policies and procedures.
Key Duties
- Lead daily accounting activities by supervising and mentoring staff while promoting efficient teamwork.
- Review daily bank balances through credit card reconciliations for Finance Director approval.
- Confirm accuracy of the General Cashier's report and ensure daily revenue deposits are made to the bank.
- Conduct month-end reconciliations of all general ledger accounts and report discrepancies to the Finance Director.
- Examine monthly reports such as Food & Beverage and Cost Controller’s reports according to company policies.
- Ensure timely filing and payment of all taxes, resolving any issues promptly.
- Prepare various monthly financial reports as requested by management.
- Support the Financial Controller in reviewing accounting policies, budgeting, financial analysis, and other assigned tasks.
- Oversee proper documentation and filing of accounting records and contracts for easy access.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Skilled in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiar with hotel finance and related software systems.
