Position Overview

As a Chemist at Aambika Foods and Beverages LLP located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of water used and produced within the company. You will conduct various chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical testing on raw water, RO water, treated water, product water, and finished packaged drinking water samples.
• Evaluate physical and chemical parameters such as pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), conductivity, turbidity, hardness, alkalinity, chlorine levels, and related metrics.
• Monitor performance of the RO plant, documenting water quality data and plant functionality.
• Carry out microbiological sampling and coordinate with external laboratories for specialized microbiological and other analyses.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS/IS standards, company SOPs, and quality benchmarks during all testing procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive quality control documentation including test reports, logbooks, calibration records, certificates of analysis (COA), and sampling records.
• Oversee sanitation efforts including cleaning in place (CIP), tank cleaning, pipeline flushing, ozonation, and disinfection activities.
• Verify and sustain adequate concentrations of sanitizing chemicals utilized within the plant.
• Collect and label samples from various production stages, ensuring traceability and proper identification.
• Promptly alert the QA/QC management of any out-of-specification (OOS) results or deviations in quality.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related incidents.
• Ensure maintenance, calibration, and proper functioning of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, chemical storage safety, and hygiene standards within the laboratory environment.
• Check incoming raw materials and packaging components when necessary to assure quality compliance.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve water quality concerns.
• Participate actively in internal audits, customer inspections, regulatory assessments, and initiatives aimed at continuous quality improvement.
• Keep all quality documentation updated on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and availability for review.
