About The Merrion Hotel

The Merrion Hotel in Dublin, renowned as one of the city's premier luxury hotels and a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is currently looking to hire a full-time Chef de Partie. The hotel is situated centrally in Dublin with excellent access to public transport and boasts 142 bedrooms and suites arranged around Georgian style gardens. The hotel emphasizes the highest standards and provides all the necessary resources for employees to succeed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee your team ensuring every member understands their duties and strictly follows health, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Complete mise en place preparations punctually and maintain exceptional quality standards for service readiness.
  • Assist in preparing daily orders for fresh and dry items required for kitchen operations.
  • Maintain proper stock rotation within all refrigeration units to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
  • Act as deputy in the absence of the Junior Sous Chef, supporting kitchen leadership as needed.

Candidate Profile

We seek candidates with a genuine passion for cooking and food presentation at the highest level. Applicants should have a strong appreciation for cleanliness and a well-organized work environment, understanding the discipline necessary to manage a kitchen to exacting standards. Effective and polite communication skills with colleagues are also essential. Flexibility and willingness to work shift schedules, including weekends, are required.
