About the Role
We are seeking a Chef de Partie to become an integral part of the award-winning kitchen team at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh. This position involves preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, specializing in Scottish and British cuisine that blends contemporary flavors with traditional cooking methods, using only premium quality ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage your designated kitchen section, ensuring full readiness for meal service.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of junior chefs within your section.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and timely preparation.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience working in kitchens of rosette standard or equivalent, including banquet operations.
- Strong knowledge of classic food preparation, dish creation, and cooking techniques.
- Expertise in British cuisine and experience within multi-outlet kitchen environments.
- Familiarity with standard kitchen procedures, including food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to ensure all menu items meet recipe specifications and presentation standards.
- Commitment to quality control and adherence to service benchmarks.
- Capable of leading and supporting junior team members effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills for overcoming minor challenges autonomously.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with all contacts.
