About the Role
Join a global leader in freight forwarding with over 160,000 colleagues worldwide and become part of the Global Ocean Chartering Desk based in Dubai. This role focuses on expanding the presence within project chartering markets in the Middle East and Indian subcontinent. You will work closely with project logistics and chartering specialists, supporting DSV offices regionally and internationally to manage break bulk and heavy lift cargo bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle booking requests for project cargo across regional and global offices, collaborating closely with local DSV branches.
- Maintain regular communication and on-site visits to project offices primarily across the Middle East, India, and Africa.
- Develop robust working relationships with DSV offices and carriers to ensure excellent service and business growth.
- Participate in customer meetings to aid business development and act as the primary contact point for internal teams regarding carrier relations.
- Work independently while being supported by a cohesive global team fostering collaboration and shared success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in chartering, particularly with project cargo on multipurpose vessels.
- Established network within the chartering industry.
- Familiarity with BIMCO contracts such as CONLINE BOOKING NOTE, GENCON, NYPE, and BALTIME, including the associated terms and conditions common in multipurpose markets.
- Strong command of English communication skills.
