Role Overview
We seek an experienced Change Practice Lead to spearhead and enhance the change management capabilities within a large, multifaceted organisation, focusing primarily on digital and transformation initiatives. This senior position combines strategic leadership, portfolio oversight, capability advancement, and active involvement in change delivery to foster readiness, adoption, and successful transformation outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a high-performance Change Practice and Centre of Excellence (CoE).
- Create and institutionalize frameworks, standards, templates, playbooks, and effective change methodologies across diverse portfolios.
- Drive consistency in assessing change impacts, stakeholder engagement, business preparedness, and planning for adoption.
- Provide a comprehensive enterprise perspective on cumulative change impacts, dependencies, readiness, and risks related to adoption.
- Coach and mentor Change Managers and practitioners to elevate capability.
- Collaborate with portfolio and delivery leaders to integrate change into planning, governance, and decision-making processes.
- Support benefits realisation with focus on adoption and sustainment strategies.
- Build a vibrant change community fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and ongoing improvement.
- Translate lessons learnt into actionable enhancements within the change practice.
- Lead change initiatives personally on complex or high-impact digital transformation projects.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a seasoned change leader who transcends project-level delivery, demonstrating experience in establishing or significantly enhancing organisational change capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years’ experience in change management, transformation, or delivery enablement roles.
- Proven success in forming or elevating Change Practices, Communities of Practice, or Centres of Excellence.
- Extensive experience navigating complex digital, technology, or business transformation landscapes.
- Proficiency in engaging with senior executives, sponsors, and leaders to devise change strategies and plans.
- Ability to identify and articulate the cumulative effects of multiple simultaneous change initiatives.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills, fostering growth in change professionals.
- Well-developed stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation, and negotiation capabilities.
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall project delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of adoption measurement, benefits realisation, and readiness for operational changes.
- A practical mindset balancing consistency without added bureaucratic burden.
Additional Credentials
Relevant professional certifications such as Prosci/ADKAR, CCMP, or Agile Change are beneficial.
