Job Role Overview
This role requires a full-time, on-site professional in Accra responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV systems and related hardware. Tasks include conducting site surveys, cabling, mounting cameras and equipment, ensuring proper connection to recording and monitoring devices, diagnosing and fixing faults, routine system inspections, and updating software or firmware to uphold operational efficiency.
Daily responsibilities extend to documenting installations, preparing straightforward reports, training users on system functions, and addressing service calls or technical inquiries. The position demands collaboration with project teams, adherence to safety and quality guidelines, and flexibility to work beyond normal hours when necessary to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient technical expertise in CCTV installation, configuration, troubleshooting, including camera systems, DVR/NVR devices, cabling, and foundational networking concepts.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals accurately, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience engaging with customers on-site, delivering professional communication and user training on equipment operation.
- Basic understanding of electrical safety, tool usage, and best practices for securing equipment across various settings.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, efficiently managing multiple installation or maintenance tasks.
- Prior experience in security systems, low-voltage electrical work, or related technical areas is highly preferred.
- Relevant vocational training or certifications in electronics, networking, or security systems is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel throughout Accra for site visits and work flexible hours to meet project demands.
