Role Overview
The Catering Assistant role is centered on supporting the catering team to deliver excellent food service standards while maintaining superior cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and customer care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, serving, and attractive presentation of food and drinks.
- Arrange and clear dining, service, and catering areas efficiently.
- Serve meals and refreshments to guests courteously and professionally.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and workspaces thoroughly.
- Ensure high levels of hygiene and cleanliness throughout all working areas.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines including HACCP and workplace health and safety protocols.
- Correctly store food items and catering supplies to preserve safety and quality.
- Support stock rotation processes and participate in delivery checks when required.
- Manage waste disposal responsibly to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
- Collaborate effectively with chefs, catering staff, and other team members.
- Deliver courteous, attentive, and helpful customer service.
- Perform additional reasonable duties assigned by the Catering Manager.
