About the Role
As part of our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Category Manager for Home will directly report to the AVP, Commercial. Our organization is focused on building a fast, scalable, and customer-centric ecosystem of digital services powering daily life across the Middle East. Our mission is to ensure delivery to every door every day and to redefine technology's impact in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the category roadmap and vision, driving exponential growth by identifying key growth opportunities.
- Own the category’s profit and loss, revenue, and conversion rate targets.
- Expand the product assortment, manage inventory planning, set competitive pricing, secure important partnerships, oversee timely launches, and maximize monetization.
- Enhance customer experience with compelling assortment, effective site merchandising, high-quality product detail pages, inspiring content, and deep understanding of consumer journeys within the category.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sellers and brands, addressing gaps, encouraging campaign engagement, and promoting adoption of platform tools.
- Gather seller feedback and collaborate with cross-functional units such as product, site operations, seller support to improve the platform and seller experience from strategic to tactical levels.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with marketing, operations, customer service, legal, and seller teams to ensure the best shopping experience.
- Keep abreast of regional competitors and global market trends to innovate and shape the category’s product offering.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of account managers and business development executives to exceed goals collaboratively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field.
- Minimum six years of proven success in sales or business development, preferably within e-commerce, marketplaces, or offline retail environments, including experience with P&L management.
- Knowledge or experience in the electronics category is considered an advantage.
- A strong proactive mentality and resourcefulness to overcome challenges and deliver impactful results in a fast-growing environment.
- Proficient data analysis skills including use of SQL, R, Python and advanced Excel/Google Sheets capabilities.
- Effective stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience leading and managing teams.
