Position Overview

The role of a Cashier is essential for delivering positive customer experiences by ensuring transactions are completed quickly, accurately, and securely. This includes handling checkout and return operations and overseeing the Self-Checkout section.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer purchases and returns at various registers.
• Maintain supervision and upkeep of the Self-Checkout area for smooth operation.
• Actively gather and share product or project knowledge to answer customer questions and identify opportunities for sales.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures to reduce shrinkage.
• For Head Cashiers: allocate roles among Cashiers, facilitate price verifications, authorize transaction approvals including markdowns across multiple sales points, and handle escalated customer issues.
• Assist in coaching and training frontline associates by guiding new Cashiers and utilizing coaching tools to support team development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience of at least one year as a Cashier is preferred for Head Cashier responsibilities.
