About the Role

Join a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store in Haliburton, Ontario, where you will play a key role delivering health, beauty, and convenience services to your community while focusing on excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging positively with every customer and greeting all with a friendly, warm attitude.
• Maintain a neat, organized, and tidy checkout area at all times.
• Scan or enter product information accurately during sales transactions.
• Ensure proper cash handling including cash, coupons, lottery, and PC Optimum transactions and ask customers for their PC Optimum Card with each purchase.
• Complete all required documentation related to customer receipts and returns.
• Merchandise and maintain assigned store areas by facing products, signing, labeling, and keeping displays orderly.
• Adhere strictly to loss prevention policies and control cash, lottery, and stamp inventories securely.
• Present a professional image adhering to the uniform policy and dress code guidelines.
• Comply with all health and safety standards, store policies, and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to preserve the store’s image and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong judgment, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficiency during customer order processing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to keep records accurately.
• Competent computer and register skills for handling transactions efficiently.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and the job location's geographical region.
