Job Summary
The Cashier role is essential for delivering swift, courteous, and precise service at checkout points. Responsibilities include processing purchases and returns, overseeing the Self-Checkout stations, and assisting customers with product or project queries to enhance sales opportunities. Employees must adhere to policies aimed at reducing stock losses.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
Head Cashiers oversee and support Cashiers by managing their work assignments, authorizing price verifications, approving transactions and markdowns across multiple service areas including main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They handle initial customer complaints and contribute to coaching and training new and current Front End Associates to elevate team performance.
Qualifications
Preferably, candidates should have at least one year of experience as a Cashier to qualify for the Head Cashier position.
