Overview

Cashiers are essential frontline team members who deliver swift, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. Their duties include managing checkout and return transactions and overseeing the Self-Checkout stations. They actively gain product and project insights to assist customers effectively and discover opportunities for sales. All company policies and procedures are adhered to, helping reduce shrinkage.

A Head Cashier additionally directs cashier positioning, accelerates price verification, authorizes Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various service points including main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They act as the primary point of contact for escalating customer concerns and contribute to the oversight, mentoring, and training of Front End Associates by helping onboard new Cashiers and using available coaching resources to aid development. Preferably, candidates for the Head Cashier role should possess a minimum of one year experience in cashier duties.
