Position Overview

Serving as a Cashier at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail skills. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service during the checkout phase and contribute to fostering customer loyalty. The role requires vigilance to safeguard company assets and demonstrate thorough attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers warmly and courteously.
• Efficiently handle all purchase transactions, including deactivating merchandise according to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
• Encourage customer participation in company-sponsored initiatives like credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable campaigns.
• Help customers by bagging and loading items as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including correct lifting techniques and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Secure register operations by practicing careful cash management, following company guidelines, and remaining alert to surroundings.
• Direct customers to the Customer Service Manager for specific service or transactional inquiries.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
