Carpenter

Overview

We are looking for dedicated and energetic Maintenance professionals who excel at delivering exceptional customer service and crafting innovative solutions for our guests. The position is located at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs as needed, primarily focusing on carpentry-related issues within the hotel premises.
• Handle daily upkeep tasks related to woodwork and structural fixtures.
• Construct and fix shelving and cabinetry to meet operational needs.
• Repair door locks, security components, various window types, and glazing.
• Operate woodworking machinery for partition works and undertake limited general building tasks.
• Remove and replace damaged or defective sections of wooden structures using appropriate hand tools.
• Apply finishing touches to wooden surfaces or wallboards using paints, hand tools, and paneling techniques.
• Fill in cracks and imperfections in plaster or plasterboard, followed by sanding, using patching plaster, trowels, and sanding tools.
• Ensure all carpentry work complies with relevant national technical regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should be a proficient carpenter with at least a high school diploma. Strong expertise in carpentry, building maintenance, workplace safety standards, and safe material handling is essential. Proficiency in English and the ability to detect and fix faults effectively are required.
