Role Overview

The caretaker will be entrusted with various duties including exemplary customer service, occasional front office administration, handling after-hours emergencies, upkeep of outdoor areas like lawns, gardens, and trees, maintenance of all park facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and managing daily operations such as opening and closing facilities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance.
• Trade qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) concepts and personal responsibilities.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Competency in basic computer operations.
• Flexibility to undertake on-call duties and work on a rotating schedule covering weekends and public holidays.

Additional Conditions and Requirements

• Candidates must consent to a Federal Police Clearance prior to job offers.
• A valid Working with Children's Check for the respective state is necessary.
• The position involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 kg, kneeling, squatting, and handling chemicals and machinery.
