About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to become an integral part of our committed estate team at a development located in Coventry (CV1 1GF). This hands-on position involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the estate's exterior spaces, guaranteeing a welcoming and orderly environment for both residents and visitors.
Work Schedule
The working hours are Monday to Friday for 30 hours each week, from 8 AM to 3 PM.
Primary Responsibilities
- Carrying out general handyman tasks and minor repairs throughout the site.
- Ensuring communal areas remain clean and well-organized.
- Engaging in litter picking, sweeping, and pressure washing activities as required.
- Overseeing bin storage areas and managing waste and recycling disposal services.
- Cleaning low-level cladding and lighting installations.
- Assisting with routine maintenance inspections and reporting any noticed issues.
- Operating equipment such as sweepers and degreasers to maintain parking areas.
- Conducting audits and preparing reports for the Estate Coordinator.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Physically capable and comfortable working outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
- A motivated and collaborative team player with a constructive outlook.
- Strong communication abilities coupled with keen attention to detail.
- Experience in grounds maintenance, caretaking, or similar functions is advantageous.
