Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate Caregivers for our Whangarei Village who will collaborate with a team to ensure residents enjoy the safest and healthiest lifestyle possible. This multifaceted role focuses on delivering personalized care and supporting residents with everyday activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver meals and assist residents during mealtimes
- Support personal hygiene tasks such as showering
- Assist residents with their individual care plans including activities like walking and exercises
- Engage residents in recreational activities like puzzles and table tennis
Shift Patterns
- Position 1: Four days on, two days off on a rotating roster of morning and afternoon shifts, totaling 60 to 80 hours per fortnight
- Position 2: Four nights on, two days off roster, totaling 60 to 80 hours per fortnight
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
Applicants should be naturally empathetic, kind, and patient, thriving when making a positive difference in others’ lives. Experience in aged care or a related role is essential. Strong verbal communication skills and an ability to build lasting relationships are also required.
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a rotating roster across morning, afternoon, and night shifts
- Willingness to work a 4 days on and 2 days off roster pattern
