Position Summary

The Car Detailer ensures that vehicles, post-repair, are meticulously cleaned, polished, and presented to meet the highest quality standards before returning to customers. Beyond detailing, this role contributes by maintaining cleanliness, facility upkeep, driving customer vehicles, and assisting daily shop operations to foster a safe and professional service environment and an exceptional customer journey.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle washing, polishing, cleaning, and detailing to restore customer vehicles after repair work.
• Vacuum and shampoo interior sections as necessary.
• Clean all windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, and exterior trims.
• Remove dust, excess polish, overspray, and debris thoroughly from finished vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet CSN’s quality benchmarks prior to delivery.
• Keep detailing tools and supplies in excellent condition, reporting any damages or concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop floors, waste disposal, common areas, and assist with routine booth and building upkeep including minor repairs and outdoor maintenance such as snow removal and groundskeeping.
• Ensure workspace safety and organization per health and safety regulations.
• Drive customer vehicles safely between CSN locations and sublet vendors or dealerships.
• Provide shuttle service for customers and reposition vehicles within the shop to optimize workflow.
• Conduct basic inspections of vehicles before and after transport, reporting any damage promptly.
• Support technicians with miscellaneous shop tasks and inventory management as required.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in car detailing or automotive-related roles is beneficial.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective organization and time management capabilities.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and customer-service oriented.

Physical and Work Environment

• Ability to engage in physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Adaptability to indoor and outdoor work under various weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity to operate cleaning and detailing equipment efficiently.
• Work setting involves collision repair shop environments with exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, and changing temperatures.
• Frequent movement of vehicles and equipment is required.
• May require occasional evening or weekend work according to business demands.
