Cafe Team Member

About the Role

Join our café team and become an essential part of delivering a welcoming experience for customers. Your day-to-day will involve food preparation, engaging with customers, and ensuring overall cleanliness and safety standards are upheld within the café. This position offers variety and a dynamic work environment with flexible schedules and opportunities for career development. New colleagues are guaranteed at least 8 hours of work weekly, with schedules set within specified availability windows and communicated three weeks in advance. Flexibility in availability matching is welcomed, and candidates must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Serve customers promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations while recording daily data.
• Implement FIFO stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
• Receive deliveries and manage proper food storage.
• Follow all operational policies and procedures precisely.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items according to café standards.
• Ensure all food products are stocked and maintain quality standards.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of the menu and serve items as intended.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate issues to the Café Manager.
• Stay informed on business updates and new initiatives.
• Sanitize tables and keep the café environment clean.
