Role Overview
We are seeking a welcoming and skilled Cafe Supervisor to join our Rototuna village team. More than just a coffee spot, our café serves as a vital community hub that offers connection and support to residents, their families, and visitors. This role demands passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service, and quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations in the café ensuring smooth workflow and service quality.
- Manage and reconcile daily takings accurately.
- Lead, train, and mentor a small team to uphold café standards.
- Prepare, present, and serve a variety of high-quality food and beverages.
- Deliver excellent barista services that meet the expectations of our customers.
- Support catering activities during village events and resident functions.
- Collaborate closely with the Chef Manager and the broader village team to create a welcoming and consistent café experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience managing day-to-day café or hospitality operations.
- Leadership experience in overseeing a small team is preferred.
- Strong barista skills with the ability to prepare quality coffee beverages.
- A friendly, positive attitude with outstanding customer service abilities.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the capability to multitask effectively.
Additional Information
- This permanent position works Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Rototuna village.
