Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on gardener to support the Property Manager at our Avonhead Village. This position focuses on maintaining gardens and outdoor areas according to the village's landscaping plans, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained environment for residents. Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work, take pride in beautifying landscapes, and thrive in community-oriented settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain well-kept, attractive gardens and outdoor spaces aligned with landscaping designs.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of buildings, grounds, and communal areas, including managing waste removal following local regulations.
- Collaborate with Property and Village Managers to plan maintenance activities and monitor budgets.
- Contribute to a positive village atmosphere through professionalism, hospitality, teamwork, and adherence to health, safety, and relevant legislation.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
We value genuine enthusiasm for creating beautiful outdoor environments, coupled with a respectful and warm approach toward people from diverse backgrounds. While gardening or landscaping experience and horticultural qualifications are preferred, they are not mandatory.
Ideal candidates are organized, efficient, capable of working both independently and within a team, and physically fit to manage daily hands-on tasks effectively.
