About the Role
We are seeking a Cafe Manager to lead an exciting new cafe located in Southampton. This is a unique opportunity to launch and shape a fresh cafe concept within a bustling retail setting. Our mission is to create memorable daily moments fueled by great coffee, delicious baked goods, and properly prepared food, all served in an inviting and comfortable environment. This role involves full responsibility for establishing and running the cafe, setting standards and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, organized, and efficient management of the newly opened cafe.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a dedicated team focused on delivering excellent customer service with enthusiasm.
- Maintain superior quality standards across food preparation, coffee making, and presentation.
- Manage inventory, monitor performance metrics, and oversee operational protocols.
- Foster a relaxed and inviting environment that encourages customer loyalty.
- Ensure consistency in every detail of service and product quality.
- Comply with and uphold all relevant Health & Safety regulations and standards.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing cafes, retail outlets, or dynamic food service environments.
- Confident, hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, adept at engaging both staff and customers positively.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of maintaining composure under pressure.
- A genuine passion for quality food, exceptional coffee, and doing things the right way.
- Self-motivated to take ownership and continually enhance operational results.
Working Conditions
- Standard working week comprises 5 days out of 7, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Based onsite in Southampton within a high-energy retail environment.
- Annual salary of £34,000.
