Job description
Role Overview
We seek a capable and accountable Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations at our cafe, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and excellent service. The role involves leadership of team members, customer service supervision, managing sales, stock control, hygiene maintenance, and overall outlet effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily functioning of the café and ensure smooth outlet operations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage cafe personnel including service, kitchen, cashier, and housekeeping teams.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and professionally address feedback and complaints.
- Track daily sales, handle cash transactions, billing processes, and monitor operational costs.
- Manage inventory, control stock quantities, place orders, and minimize wastage.
- Maintain food standards relating to quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, monitor attendance, and allocate shifts effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared timely and accurately.
- Monitor cleanliness of the outlet and uphold company standard operating procedures.
- Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to confirm operational readiness.
- Work toward achieving assigned sales and operational targets.
- Prepare daily operational reports and keep management informed of outlet status.
- Enforce discipline and adherence to company policies and guidelines.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and management on staffing and employee matters.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in cafés, restaurants, quick service restaurants (QSR), or hospitality operations.
- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities and team management skills.
- Communicate effectively and handle customers with professionalism.
- Have a solid understanding of inventory management, billing, sales, and café operations.
- Ability to stay effective in a fast-moving work environment.
- Strong skills in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
