Role Overview

We are seeking a Cafe Assistant to join our Nelson Village team. This role is centered around delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the café operates smoothly as a welcoming hub for residents, their families, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and serve a variety of food and beverages to a high standard
• Deliver excellent barista services to café patrons
• Support catering needs for village events and resident functions
• Manage cash handling tasks and perform daily reconciliation of takings

Qualifications and Attributes

• Previous experience in hospitality or café settings
• Strong barista skills with attention to quality
• Flexibility to cover shifts across the week, often with short notice
• Friendly and approachable personality with excellent customer service capabilities
• Effective communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
