Job Overview

Due to growing demand, Creative Wood Kitchens seeks an experienced Cabinet Maker to join their dedicated team. This full-time role is based mainly in their Westport workshop, with occasional site visits for fitting and installation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and pride in delivering exceptional finishes on each project.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce bespoke kitchens, built-in cabinetry, and freestanding furniture pieces to exacting standards.
• Interpret and execute work according to technical drawings, plans, and precise measurements.
• Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.
• Maintain high responsibility for the quality and finish of all completed work.
• Work independently when necessary and take initiative on tasks.
• Collaborate positively within an experienced and supportive team environment.
• Resolve practical challenges and make informed decisions during production processes.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.

Candidate Requirements

• At least three years of experience in cabinet making, preferably in kitchens, cabinetry, or fine furniture.
• Demonstrable experience with bespoke furniture projects.
• Strong skills in reading and understanding technical plans and dimensions.
• Expertise in safely and effectively using relevant power and hand tools.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a dedication to first-rate workmanship.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities to handle multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work proactively without direct supervision.
• Ability to function well both independently and as a team member.
• Open, effective communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude.
• Maintaining an orderly and respectful approach to the shared workshop space.
• Preferred but not mandatory: Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification, as well as a valid driving license.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role with working hours Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., based onsite at the Westport workshop in County Mayo. The position requires immediate availability.
