Role Overview
As a Financial Advisor, you will build and manage your own client practice focused on helping clients meet their long-term financial targets such as retirement planning, wealth accumulation, estate strategy, and education funding. Supported by a client support team, home-office resources, and regional advisors, you will cultivate meaningful client relationships grounded in trust, aligning their goals with tailored financial solutions.
The advisor role is at the heart of the branch team, driving client service and contributing to Edward Jones’s purpose of fostering positive societal impact. This role values collaboration within a culture defined by advisor-led leadership, trust, and mutual support.
Compensation and Growth
Edward Jones offers a compensation framework that promotes autonomy and rewards dedication, featuring a stable commission grid, up to three annual profitability bonuses, profit sharing, limited partnership opportunities, and luxury travel incentives for top performers.

Qualifications and Skills
- Four years of experience in the financial industry or possession of a university degree or college diploma.
- Preferably holds financial services registrations, licenses, or certifications.
- Experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition.
- Proven client prospecting abilities.
- Strong ambition, self-drive, and a dedication to long-term client engagement.
- Goal-oriented attitude with critical thinking skills.
- Mature approach suitable for serving the investing public.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to meet regulatory requirements.

Additional Information
The new financial advisor compensation program supports advisors through training, supplemental salary (ranging from $38,500 to $100,000), commissions, and compensation for new assets during the first five years to facilitate business growth.
