About the Role
This position offers a fully remote work opportunity exclusively within Australia and New Zealand. You will leverage your specialist skills in mainframe database management within a crucial banking environment, providing reliable and expert support to sustain operations across legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support CA Datacom/DB on IBM z/OS with expert proficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex database challenges and offer advice on performance improvements and issue resolution.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Datacom's design and internal workings to evaluate risks and influence technical decisions.
- Assist with mainframe database migration efforts when necessary.
- Analyze and address the interactions between PL/I applications and Datacom databases.
- Respond swiftly to provide direct support during critical incident situations.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess 10 to 15 years of experience as a CA Datacom/DB Database Administrator.
- Have comprehensive expertise in Datacom database management, including architecture and internal components.
- Experience in migrating mainframe databases.
- Familiarity with PL/I programming language and its integration with Datacom.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities coupled with skills in performance tuning.
- Prior experience supporting legacy banking infrastructure.
- Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
