Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to become a vital member of a top-tier technology team focused on delivering scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust cloud infrastructures with a focus on AWS environments.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Deploy and administer containerized applications leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon ECS.
- Create, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines incorporating Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline, and GitOps methodologies.
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows via scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, and by utilizing Ansible.
- Collaborate effectively with development teams to ensure dependable application and microservice deployments across cloud platforms.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using platforms including Splunk, CloudWatch, DataDog, New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployments in both development and production settings.
- Support practices ensuring cloud security, governance, operational resilience, and performance optimization.
- Contribute actively to the ongoing enhancement of DevOps methodologies, engineering standards, automation tools, and platform capabilities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven hands-on expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong command of Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure automation.
- Experienced in container orchestration and management with Docker and Kubernetes within enterprise environments.
- Knowledgeable in CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, TeamCity, AWS CodePipeline and GitOps practices.
- Skilled in configuration management and automation with Ansible.
- Proficient scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent.
- Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and distributed system architectures.
- Implemented monitoring and observability solutions using various industry tools.
- Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experienced with Git and modern DevOps workflows.
Preferred Additional Experience
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Advanced knowledge of various IaC tools including AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
- Experience with container technologies like Amazon ECS.
- Familiarity with programming languages including TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go, C#, and Ruby.
- Web frameworks such as Next.js, React.js, Express.js, Django, FastAPI, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Quarkus.
- Working with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, Oracle, Informix.
- Utilization of observability tools like Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- API technologies including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- Beneficial knowledge of AI/ML technologies: PyTorch, PySpark, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
