Towers Rotana in Dubai is seeking enthusiastic and proactive materials management professionals who excel in customer service and delivering innovative solutions. This Buyer role is integral to ensuring timely procurement aligned with property standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily review of the system to complete all administrative tasks related to received purchase requests and orders.
• Clarify any ambiguities concerning purchase request details, including data accuracy, item descriptions, quantities, and specifications.
• Obtain and negotiate competitive price quotes ensuring quality standards; submit for approval and coordinate optimal delivery timelines.
• Manage daily market lists by allocating orders, verifying pricing and availability of new items, and securing necessary authorizations for vendor confirmation.
• Promptly dispatch approved purchase orders to respective vendors via fax or direct delivery.
• Monitor all pending orders through system reports; escalate concerns as needed for orders under approval or awaiting processing.
• Resolve discrepancies related to price, quantity, or quality reported upon delivery by vendors.
• Maintain and update locked price quotations, validity periods, and supplier database information within the system.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants should hold a degree and possess relevant experience handling stores, purchasing, and receiving functions preferably within the hospitality sector. Proficiency in English communication and computer literacy is essential. Familiarity with Opera, Micros, and FBM systems is advantageous.
