Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Butcher to prepare, present, and sell premium protein products while mentoring Meat Assistants. You will help customers select the ideal cuts and share expert advice that goes beyond typical supermarket offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Carefully break down, bone, portion, and prepare meats following Harris Farm’s standards
• Deliver consistent, precise cuts ensuring correct weight, trimming, and presentation
• Create value-added products such as marinades, skewers, burger patties, sausages, and roasts
• Inspect every delivery for quality, rejecting items that do not meet company requirements
• Use professional judgment to reduce waste by repurposing trimmings into sellable products

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about food and protein, ideally with experience in fresh food retail
• Effective communicator capable of supporting the Butcher Manager and stepping up during their absence
• Mentor new team members in Harris Farm’s unique methods, beyond just technical skills
• Consistently uphold cold chain procedures, hygiene, and food safety standards each shift
• Maintain impeccable cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment as a reflection of professional pride
