About the Role

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Shop Assistant to be part of our team. You will assist customers in finding products, maintain the presentation of the store with fresh and ample stock, and collaborate with colleagues who share a passion for fresh food and positive customer interactions. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. What matters most is a friendly demeanor, pride in your work, and a genuine love for fresh food. This position has strong potential for career advancement, as many Store Managers began their journey right here.

Key Responsibilities

• Restock and rotate inventory to ensure displays are continuously full, fresh, and attractive.
• Organize and maintain cleanliness in the Back of House area.
• Monitor product quality, expiration dates, and apply First In First Out (FIFO) stock rotation practices.
• Manage shelves effectively to facilitate easy access and accurate product availability for customers.
• Deliver friendly and helpful customer service on the shop floor.
• Uphold strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to guarantee smooth day-to-day store operations.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have a passion for fresh food and experience in a fresh food retail environment. We look for individuals with:

• Exceptional attention to detail along with strong organizational skills.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods.
• A cooperative team spirit coupled with a solid work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible shifts across a seven-day roster, including mornings and evenings.
