Position Overview
As a Busser, you play a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience by maintaining clean and safe dining areas. Your work will contribute to making guests feel welcome and eager to return.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove used dishware and napkins from tables promptly and return them to the kitchen.
- Sweep and mop floors, and clean chairs around dining tables to ensure cleanliness.
- Keep glassware, silverware, and dishware stocked at appropriate levels.
- Sanitize and reset tables following each meal.
- Refill condiments such as salt and pepper at the tables.
- Assist servers in delivering food to guests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and adequate stock at service stations.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- A genuine willingness to care for others, learn continually, and grow professionally.
- Positive attitude and teamwork spirit.
- Capacity to thoroughly wipe down various table surfaces, chair seats, and retrieve debris from the floor in dining areas.
- Physically able to transport plates, glasses, and baskets between dining room, service bar, and kitchen approximately 30 times per shift.
- Mobility to stay active and move throughout the restaurant for the duration of the shift.
- Physical demands include navigating the restaurant and interacting with guests, lifting/moving items up to 25 pounds occasionally, bending, stooping, and sufficient vision to assess cleanliness and operate touchscreen devices.
