Business Solutions Manager - Pricing

About the Role

Pricing significantly influences the commercial success of airlines. As the Business Solutions Manager for Pricing at Etihad, you will be central to elevating the technological and analytical foundations that underpin pricing decisions within our rapidly expanding global network. Joining the Solutions & Innovation team, you will collaborate closely with Commercial, Revenue Management, and Technology leaders to create enhanced pricing solutions, automate processes, and introduce new capabilities for quicker, data-driven commercial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Steer innovation projects aimed at enhancing airline pricing systems and commercial optimization.
• Continuously improve pricing procedures by integrating automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Develop and execute proof-of-concept projects before transitioning successful pilots into enterprise-wide applications.
• Serve as the primary business owner for pricing platforms, ensuring alignment with changing commercial strategies.
• Collaborate with teams from Pricing, Revenue Management, Commercial, Digital, and Technology to define future system capabilities and plan product roadmaps.
• Oversee system upgrades, quality assurance testing, and production deployments for pricing platforms.
• Analyze pricing performance, system utilization, and user behaviors to discover improvement opportunities in commercial results.
• Manage calibration of pricing systems and ensure pricing models are consistent with business goals.
• Uphold rigorous data quality standards, governance policies, and system performance levels.
• Translate technical solutions into tangible commercial benefits for business stakeholders.
• Lead governance and enhancement of Pricing Solutions platforms, focusing on fare management, pricing automation, process enhancements, and system improvements to boost efficiency, revenue, and user engagement.
• Administer data governance across Pricing Solutions platforms to ensure accurate fare, demand, and optimization data that support pricing automation and revenue forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or a related field (an MBA is advantageous).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the airline industry.
• Proficient with Airnguru, ATPCO, and Infare platforms.
• Strong understanding of airline pricing principles including fare construction, rules, routings, seasonality, and ATPCO categories.
• Experience working in commercial airline environments.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication.
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects within complex operational settings.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Python, R, Tableau, Databricks, or similar analytical tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Background in leading pricing transformation or product enhancement projects.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or advanced commercial analytics.
