About the Role
ISR Transport seeks a seasoned ITS Operations Manager to oversee performance monitoring, reporting, and enhancement initiatives within a prominent Roads Management Centre (RMC) and Tunnel Control Centre in Doha, Qatar. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to coordinate major events and refine traffic response plans through data-driven strategies, modeling, and operational insights.
Key Duties
- Lead performance monitoring and reporting activities for RMC and tunnel operations.
- Prepare and deliver monthly and on-demand performance reports with precision and punctuality.
- Supervise subcontractors providing traffic engineering and SCATS signal support, ensuring adherence to performance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and development of traffic engineering and operational upgrade plans.
- Manage major incident and special event reporting, conducting post-event reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison for coordination with government authorities and transport agencies.
- Oversee traffic response planning, including system configurations and readiness for events.
- Evaluate and enhance current traffic management strategies utilizing simulation modeling and analytical insights.
Qualifications and Experience
- Substantial expertise in transportation planning, traffic operations, or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
- Demonstrated success in delivering performance reports, KPIs, and operational insights in complex, live settings.
- Familiarity with traffic modeling software, data analytics, and simulation for performance assessment and optimization.
- Practical experience in incident management, traffic response planning, and managing major events.
- Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and external partners to meet performance goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and implementation of continuous improvement measures.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a salary package up to 40000 QAR, inclusive of basic salary, housing, transportation, and flight allowances. Additionally, comprehensive health insurance coverage is provided for the employee, spouse, and up to three children.
